Nigerian born tactician and former Arsenal Youth Academy and MFM coach , Marcellinus Anyanwu has been appointed the Grassroots Scout for Gulf United football club in the United Arab Emirate and the United Kingdom.
Coach Anyanwu expressed his excitement to have been found worthy of the very sensitive position in the Gulf United club.
Coach Marcellinus Anyanwu, popularly called “Marcelo Lippi” has immediately swung into action by disclosing to Sports Drill CEO, Morgan Moses Adesina the next plan of action for him, which is to be in Nigeria in no distant time to scout for some of the best legs in the country and give them the necessary opportunity to pursue their football careers in the USA through a scholarship program by the club in August of 2021.
The Director of Marketing and Operations GUFC Sports Services, Mr Mo Jarad said, “we will be in Nigeria in August to conduct the first ever GUFC showcase in African soil.”
“Gulf United’s popularity and reach has grown incredibly into the past few years, mainly through the success of placing talented student/athletes at top universities and clubs globally on scholarships,” he added.
M.C Anyanwu further stated that “the target of Gulf United is to get quality players with good WASSCE grades and top level playing skills to be able to get scholarships into universities in USA.
